Opening Ceremony of Ambalanthota Cultural Centre

Ambalanthota Divisional Cultural Centre was ceremonially opened by H. E. the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena recently as the 190 Cultural Centre of the island wide cultural centre program. The Ministry disbursed at the value of Rs. 35mn for the constructions of the Cultural Centre.

Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs Hon. S. B. Nawinne, Minister of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, several Ministers and MPs in the area, Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs, government officials and distinguishedguests werealso present for this occasion.

 

Applications for State Children’s Drama Festival - 2017 Closing Date extended

 

The closing date of the State Children’s Drama Festival - 2017 organized jointly by the Department of Cultural Affairs and State Advisory Board for Drama on the direction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, North-Western Development and Cultural Affairs has been extended upto 15th June 2017,due to inclement weather, prevailed in the country.

The State Children’s Drama Festival 2017 is held under limited and open categories in Sinhala, Tamil and English . Dramatists who are interested in taking part should send the duly filled applications issued by the Department of Cultural Affairs by registered post along with 03 scripts of the children’s drama to reach “Drama Promotion Division, Department of Cultural Affairs 8th Floor, Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla”.

The application and the constitution of the State Children’s Drama Festival - 2017 could be obtained from the above address or through the website www.culturaldept.gov.lk or from the cultural division of any district secretariat / divisional secretariat island wide.

Opanayake Divisional Cultural Centre in Rathnapura District was declared open

Opanayake Divisional Cultural Centre in Rathnapura District was ceremonially opened by Hon. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs Mr. Palitha Thewarapperuma on 3rdJune 2016 as the 185thCultural Centre of the Island Wide Cultural Centre Program. The government disbursed at the value of Rs. 17mn. for this Centre. 

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs Mrs. Pradeepa Serasinghe,officials and distinguishedguests werealso presentfor this occasion.

නාද නදී නෘත්‍ය කාව්‍ය නිර්මාණවලිය - 2016

ජන කවියේ විසිතුර සම්ප්‍රදායය සහ නවීනත්වය සමඟ සුසංයෝග කරමින් ප්‍රාදේශීය සංස්කෘතික මධ්‍යස්ථාන 185 ක් පුරා විසිර සිටින අංකුර නර්තන හා සංගීත ශිල්පීන් එකම වේදිකාවක මුළු දෙන සම්මානනීය නිර්මාණවලිය 2016 ඔක්තෝම්බර් 06 වන දින නෙළුම් පොකුණ රඟහලේදී අභ්‍යන්තර කටයුතු වයඹ සංවර්ධන හා සංස්කෘතික කටයුතු ගරු අමාත්‍ය එස්.බී. නාවින්න මැතිතුමාගේ සහ නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය ගරු පාලිත තෙවරප්පෙරුම මැතිතුමාගේ  ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වුණි.

මෙම අවස්ථාවට අමාත්‍යාංශ ලේකම් ඩී. ස්වර්ණපාල මහතා ඇතුළු විශාල පිරිසක් සහභාගී විය.
